The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) represents a broad spectrum of health finance professionals across Australia. The association asked Bridgeway Global to develop an organisational advocacy strategy. We're approaching this project over several phases.
In phase one, we reviewed over 30 reports, sector interest group minutes and correspondence, from 2022 to 2024, to produce a desktop scan report. The report identified more than 15 key issues affecting members, with themes synthesised by member segment.
This was the first time the HFMA had a single view of key issues affecting members. Key findings were documented in a report and presented at a HFMA Board meeting. The HFMA will use this desktop scan in phase two, which includes engaging with members to explore issues more deeply and identify any additional issues of importance to inform the development of an advocacy strategy.
